Summary

This course provides Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) with a more comprehensive care skillset to manage day-to-day care of elderly of intermediate learning caring for persons with Dementia, Diabetics, Heart Disease and Stroke

Course Objectives

  • To equip FDWs with the necessary skillsets in specialised caregiving skills and to take on the role of providing effective care for the elderly

  • To provide active learning, not just theory but through real-life caregiving situations under supervision

Course Outline

  • Intermediate level of caregiver learning how to provide day-to-day caregiver care for persons with Dementia, Diabetics, Heart Disease and Stroke

  • Specialised care procedures for Wound Care, Tracheostomy Care and Oxygen Therapy

  • Hands-on practical and application of knowledge
